First Communion

First Communion is done in the 2nd grade. Regular family Sunday mass participation.

In this regard, punctuality is important: Arriving in church on time before mass begins to convey to the child that mass is an important event and that getting ready to be in church on time is a family priority.

The Sunday when First Communion is scheduled is on of the parish most significant communal events.

The child that successfully completes the ICFC program will receive his/her First Communion on the Sunday when the parish First Communions are scheduled.

Requests for an exemption (asking that the child be allowed to receive his/her First Communion at another date) will not be entertained, except in two cases: Health issues, or a death in the family.
